学校简介

百年理工学院(英语:Centennial College)是加拿大安大略省历史最悠久的公立大专院校,在该省多伦多市设有四座校园,主要服务大多伦多地区东部的居民。该校提供逾120种课程,覆盖商科、传讯、社区及顾客服务、理科及工程技术、医疗和运输等范畴,亦联同多伦多大学士嘉堡分校提供新闻系、新兴媒体、急救、工业微生物学和环境科学双联学位。该校约有16000名全职学生和22000名兼读生,师生人口来自接近100个族裔群体,覆盖80种语言,为安省最种族多样化的大专院校之一。该校的首座校园为窝顿活校园(Warden Woods Campus),坐落士嘉堡窝顿地铁站以南,于1966年10月17日开幕,2005年拆卸。现时百年理工学院的四座校园如下:进步路校园(Progress Campus)位于士嘉堡401号公路夹万锦路一带,为该校规模最大的校园,提供的课程包括电脑科学、商科、和旅游服务等。

In just 16 consecutive months, Centennial College's Game Art and Design program allows you to gain the skills to launch a career in the dynamic, ever-expanding and intensely creative interactive game industry. To prepare for a career of imagination, innovative design and storytelling, you receive intensive hands-on training in Game Art and Design courses and learn how to build traditional 3D art assets for games, develop game environments and characters and express your one-of-a-kind creativity. Developed by industry professionals and School of Communications, Media, Arts and Design instructors with a forward-thinking approach towards the next wave of interactive games, this games diploma program is well-respected in the industry.

Game Development & Design is a three-year advanced diploma program that aims to develop expert game designers who are able to create and develop their own titles. The program prepares students to become both technically literate and able to advance the conceptual and cultural potential of games. The program concentrates on the practical applications of the game production process from the artistic, managerial, and technical sides. Students will be introduced to 2D and 3D design processes, foundations of computer programming, as well as how to communicate effectively with teams of artists and programmers to design, prototype and iterate their own fully playable 2D and 3D games. Students will also learn the professional and personal skills needed for success in the industry. Please note: This program requires you to have and use a mobile computing device (i.e. laptop, tablet) that meets or exceeds the recommended hardware requirements. Software Engineering Technology - Interactive Gaming (Co-op) (Fast Track) 

Centennial College's Software Engineering Technology – Interactive Gaming (Fast-Track Co-op) program benefits college or university graduates with a background in software who want a speedy way to enter the industry with experience. If you qualify, you gain direct admission into the second year (third semester) of the three-year Software Engineering Technology — Interactive Gaming program and receive your advanced diploma in four semesters plus two work terms. This School of Engineering Technology and Applied Science program highlights object-oriented software design methodologies, user-oriented interface design, software testing and QA, C#, Java, advanced graphics, Web game programming, HTML5/JavaScript, Unity3D, mobile application development, game and simulation design and more. This college technology program also showcases the applied focus of the curriculum with two software development projects. Simulating "real world" assignments, the game/simulations/applications require you to utilize your newly-acquired technical and business skills to build higher quality software. The development projects are also excellent preparation for the program's co-op component. If you qualify academically, you enhance your education by working two terms as a paid employee in the field. This experience allows you to put classroom learning into practice and provides valuable contacts for your future career. Once you complete your Software Engineering Technology – Interactive Gaming (Fast Track – Co-op) studies, you will be able to participate in various phases of the game development such as game design, three-dimensional graphics programming and multiplayer online game programming.

Software Engineering Technology – Interactive Gaming (Optional Co-op) 

Centennial College's Software Engineering Technology – Interactive Gaming program sees you graduate with an advanced diploma and the knowhow to launch a career in the game software industry. Whether you love the classics or today's technologically advanced games, this interactive gaming program's courses have you participate in various phases of game development, such as: Game design Three-dimensional graphics programming Simulation design Multiplayer online game programming This advanced diploma technology program also puts a focus on object-oriented software design methodologies and user-oriented interface design, software testing and QA, C#, Java, advanced graphics, Web game programming, HTML5/JavaScript, Unity3D, mobile application development, game and simulation design and more. To underscore the applied focus of the curriculum, two software development projects are included. These "real world" game/simulations/applications require you to utilize all the technical and business skills acquired during your studies to build higher quality software. Who knew those years of video games would count as resume experience? Please note: Qualified college or university graduates with a background in software may gain direct admission into semester three of this three-year program and receive their advanced diploma in four semesters (program #3129). Co-op Option The co-op option in this program will provide you with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while you complete three work terms as a paid employee in the field. This experience not only allows you to put classroom learning into practice, but will also provide valuable contacts for your future career. To participate in programs with optional co-op, typically students will complete an application process in the second semester of their studies, and if academically qualified, will be admitted to the co-op program. When you graduate, your diploma will highlight the co-op credential.
