Upon launching the game, a Windows 98 desktop appears. Open the DOS prompt, type start, and press Enter to begin.

A black screen with green text fades in, displaying the following narrative:

December 31, 1998. Romer is lost in thought when he notices a diary on his desk. It’s dated January 1, 1991. But tomorrow hasn't even arrived yet! He has no idea what’s going to happen tomorrow, so he decides to investigate. [Enter]

Once in the game, you find yourself in a room. In the center sits a desk with a computer on top and three drawers; one of the drawers is locked. Beside the desk is a bookshelf, and a ceiling lamp illuminates the room. There is also a crack on the floor.

Clicking the diary on the desk reveals the following entry:

November 1, 1999. Weather: Cloudy.

Today marks the first day of the new millennium. Following my usual routine, I opened my computer and called my friends. Afterward, I checked my PC. It’s running the latest Windows 98 system I could buy, and the password is "ek c83". I also got a new phone today—a Motorola!

— Romer and Janet.

As you read the diary, the protagonist reads it aloud. Upon seeing the signature, he mutters in confusion: "What? But isn't Janet dead?"

The narrator then explains that Janet was Romer's girlfriend. Four years ago, she was struck and killed instantly by a train when a railway crossing gate malfunctioned and opened unexpectedly. After the narration, the narrator goes silent.

Opening the two unlocked drawers reveals a key, but it doesn't fit the third drawer. Clicking the locked drawer shows an alphabetical combination lock. Entering the word diary unlocks it, revealing a slightly yellowed letter written by Janet:

My Dearest,

You know I’m a physicist; I’d never believe time travel is real. But last night, I saw my 10-year-old self. He didn't remember anything, only a company called "Stellar Jungle." He asked me to step into a room, and he was right there. I was so shocked that I planned to leave the house immediately to figure out what was going on.

— July 22, 1993.

The narrator adds that Janet had rushed out of the house in a panic on July 22, 1993, precisely because of this incident.

Clicking the computer brings up an email interface, but you can only click "Send" after entering the PC password. The sender is mailto:creaneourpstun@outlook.com. The protagonist automatically types: "Come quick!" Two minutes later, an email arrives, accompanied by a doorbell sound from the computer, and the friend suddenly appears.

At this point, the protagonist starts using the computer while the friend joins in. Mobile players can now explore freely. Clicking the crack on the floor instantly transports you to the street. The narrator begins reading out a string of gibberish: karbcdnoknwzb. Thirty seconds after leaving the house, the screen abruptly cuts to black. The narrator announces that a bullet has struck your head, and you black out.

When you open your eyes, an exaggerated cursive English title, Stellar Jungle, appears on screen. A prompt indicates that a lie detector has been connected. An input box appears:

If you type Janet, she will appear, but as a skeleton.

If you type anything else, you will be electrocuted and forced back to the moment you just opened your eyes.

The skeleton can still speak. Clicking it brings up a password prompt. You must enter all the previous passwords together as a single string, in any order. Once entered correctly, the skeleton says: "It's time." This instantly wakes your friend up.

After turning on the lamp, the protagonist realizes this is the exact site of the train derailment from years ago. The locomotive has long since decayed; clicking on it causes it to crumble into dust. Clicking the tracks reveals a trail leading into the distance, opposite to the direction the train was traveling. There is a massive fracture in the ground, as if an immense force had violently pierced through the granite, leaving a giant hole.

Next to the railway tracks is a cave entrance. Clicking it leads to an underground cavern filled with crushed rocks. At the same time, the game plays Morse code that translates to: "The time gradient caused by time travel technology is GRAVITY!"

You must type this exact phrase into the next input box to trigger the game's ending.

The ending returns to the initial black screen with green text, displaying the final revelation:

It turns out that Stellar Jungle had mastered time travel technology and was conducting experiments. During a test on the past, they accidentally caused a temporal fracture, which warped the railway crossing gate and sucked it into the underground cavern. Romer and his friend reported to the police and provided the evidence. Stellar Jungle was subsequently shut down.
